As with most new construction, particularly in the Las Vegas area, timing posed a significant challenge. Operating on an expedited project schedule, Envise was engaged during the design-build phase to deliver a building automation system that provided 100% control all of all HVAC equipment across the resort, including a variable primary central plant with a 5,000-ton capacity feeding 30 air handling units, 100 fan coil units and 200 variable air volume handlers.
Envise designed, installed, and commissioned a complete building automation system to ensure full continuity and efficiency of all operations within a concise timeframe.
In order to efficiently control the indoor air quality, Envise installed variable volume air handlers that utilize added heat recovery coils to precondition the outside air. The building automation system monitors smoke to control indoor air quality and wind speed to control the shut-off functionality for water fountain features and natural gas tiki torches.
To remain on top of the aggressive project schedule, Envise gathered its engineering and building automation resources each week to discuss timelines and opportunities. Once each area was complete, Envise provided owner training for the systems.
By installing equipment with maintenance serviceability and efficiency in mind, Envise provided energy savings, equipment reliability, and lower overall equipment costs. Today, Envise continues to serve The M Resort through an ongoing service agreement.
